Hong Kong - ND
Last year I had the amazing opportunity to work in Hong Kong and Singapore for over a month. In between client shoots, coaching and photography presentations I caught up with commercial photographer, Gary Tyson of F8Photography, to have a little fun with photography. Gary, the F8 Photography crew, Mandy, Katherine and I rented a sampan boat for a trip across the bay to visit the island of Lamma.
In the video you'll see the hilarious challenges we had to rent the boat and some examples of Gary and I shooting. I really enjoy sharing my passion of photography with others when I travel. Whether it's shooting with a professional or someone getting into photography as a hobby/lifestyle, I love it. Gary is the one who turned me on to the neutral density filter, which is now an important piece of gear in bag. Not only does it give me the flexibility to shoot at whatever aperture I want during the day, it's also an important piece of gear for the Lightenupandshoot Video Production team. (Gary Tyson introduced me to the Genus vari-ND filter. I recommend getting the larger ND and buying a step-up ring so it can be used on smaller lenses)
