Shae, read some of the comments. Yes, this book also goes through gear which will save you money when time to get more into lighting. There's a lot more than just light, there's business side of things, working with models, approaching people, camera settings that the pros won't tell you. It's loaded with info.
Hey Andy and Mike! I am fairly new to photography and just recently got my dslr. I wanted to know will this book help out a newbie? Especially one who doesn't have awesome gear? All I have currently is my camera, the kit lens, on camera flash and an extra 70-200mm lens. Any techniques in the book to still help me get amazing photos with that gear? I enjoy your videos on youtube and I really want to get into making photo more than a hobby, but for now I have a very limited budget. So I wanted to know if this book would benefit someone like me.

Hey! First off, I want to thank you guys for this Vbook. I bought it a while back, and it was the best investment I've made. I had tried SO MANY different books, videos, etc. all at very expensive prices, and not even any of the classes I took compares to this; not to mention, you guys' personality is awesome! Okay, now for the question: I recently became a MAC user. I'm about to do my first professional photo shoot for someone's engagement party, so I was going to go back and look at the videos and read to see if I could find some tips that I may have overlooked. I tried watching the videos, but they're not playing. What am I supposed to do? Also, do you guys have an updated version of the Vbook? thanks a lot guys! -Ciao*
