Natural light video and headshot techniques

While going through almost 200 videos that are on the Lightenupandshoot Youtube Channel I re-discovered a great video on natural light. Scrims, what aperture to use, reflectors, using your environment, the look away technique, location hunting, shadows, white balance and some headshot tips.
"Mikey's Corner" is coming soon! This will be a page dedicated to followers that are interested in engaging with me in a much more in-depth way. Longer videos, live critiques/conversation, gear reviews and much more! Sign up here.

Natural light is often overlooked in the world of photogs interested in off-camera flash. In my opinion you first need to nail down natural light before venturing into the wonderful world of off-camera flash. Why?

When you shoot off-camera flash/strobe you are mixing both ambient and artificial light. In other words you are essentially taking two images: ambient and artificial light. Mixing the two creatively and intentionally take time. Learning to be a light chaser (which I talk about in my new Vbook) is essential.
Things to consider when using natural light (your creative vision):
lens choice
aperture
pockets of natural light
reflections, diffusion, color contamination
what light can be eliminated or added to create interest?
Have you checked out my Vbook? There's an overwhelming amount of information that is worth reviewing if you are interested in natural light and off-camera flash.
